The load-bearing structure of our gravity roller conveyors consists of steel or aluminium profiles that ensure stability and durability. The rollers are mounted on axles in the frame and can rotate freely. They are made of steel or plastic and are fitted with ball bearings to ensure low-friction running. The size, spacing and surface of the castors are customised to suit the goods to be transported and the ambient conditions.

The track is designed so that the goods roll downhill by themselves due to a slight gradient. The gradient is adapted to the goods to be transported and the desired transport speed. Various factors play a role here:

• Weight of the goods: Heavier goods often require a lower gradient.

• Desired transport speed: A steeper gradient leads to a higher speed.

• Friction: Friction between rollers and goods and between rollers and frame must also be taken into account.
