Filling station with scales - precise conveyor technology for packaged small parts

TEGEL-TECHNIK has implemented a fully automated filling station with integrated weight control for an industrial customer. The system is designed to efficiently check packaged small parts, feed them correctly and fill them into plastic containers - precisely matched to cycle times and weight specifications.

Belt conveyors with scales, ejection logic and motorised roller conveyors create a compact, reliable solution for automated weighing and filling.

The conveyor system realised picks up packaged small parts from an existing packaging machine and automatically feeds them to a weight check.

Each pack is fed to a belt conveyor with integrated scales, which checks the weight of the contents. Correct bags are transported via the belt into a plastic box provided. In the event of faulty items, the feed chute is blocked by an electro-pneumatic pusher and an error message is generated. This ensures that only packs with the correct contents are filled into the plastic boxes. As soon as a container is completely filled, it is transported to the delivery point.

The system guarantees reliable quality assurance in real time and at the same time ensures a continuous material flow without manual intervention.

The goal: Transport and inspection of packaged small parts.

1. Feeding the packs:
   Unpacked small parts are transferred directly from the upstream machine to a belt conveyor. This ensures an even cycle and an organised infeed.

2. Weighing and sorting:
   The main belt conveyor is equipped with an integrated scale for weight control. If the pack weight deviates from the target value, the faulty unit is automatically ejected.

3. Filling and container management:
   Correct packs are filled into a plastic container. As soon as the defined fill level is reached, the system automatically recognises the status.

4. Further transport:
   The filled container is transported to the removal position via a motorised roller conveyor with 24V motorised rollers and 90° transfer unit. A subsequent empty container is provided automatically.
