Giengen an der Brenz, June 2026 - With a donation of €1,000, we are supporting the project ‘ZUSAM durchs Jahr’ in Giengen, which has been running with great success since the start of 2024. The aim is to establish this valuable support in the region on a long-term basis and to enable people on low incomes to participate fully in society.

The project creates tangible opportunities: whether it’s music lessons, club activities or leisure pursuits – vouchers open up possibilities that would otherwise often be unaffordable. At the same time, the focus is on the social aspect: bringing people together, fostering dialogue and promoting integration all help to strengthen the sense of community in Giengen.
One particular advantage lies in the sustainable way the scheme is implemented: no money is paid out directly, which rules out any possibility of misuse. Instead, the donations are channelled specifically into local initiatives – and thus remain entirely in Giengen.
The organisation ZUSAM, run by the Ecumenical Diaconal and Nursing Association, stands for ‘Sugar, Salt and More’ – where ‘More’ primarily means connection and support.
Volunteering is central to this work: all staff work without pay, so that 100 per cent of donations go directly to those in need.
Through our contribution, we aim to strengthen this important community initiative and help ensure that ‘ZUSAM durchs Jahr’ continues to open up new prospects for many people in Giengen in the future.
