What you can expect

Focal points of the training programme

As an electronics technician, you are a sought-after expert when it comes to complex electronic control systems in industrial production facilities. You will work with machines, systems and computers and ensure that automated systems function properly.

During your apprenticeship at TEGEL-TECHNIK, a wide range of tasks await you. You will be responsible for the design, planning, installation, maintenance and various repairs. As an electronics technician for automation technology, you will analyse functional relationships and process sequences and be responsible for testing automation systems. You will install and adjust sensors and control equipment as well as electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic drive systems. The installation of measurement, control and regulation equipment is also part of your job.

The commissioning of automation systems and the instruction of our customers are also among the tasks of electronics technicians. You will also carry out maintenance work as well as troubleshooting and fault finding on processor-controlled production lines and maintain machines, systems and plants as well as their control and regulation equipment for our customers.

Training as an electronics technician for automation technology is a dual training programme. This means that you have theoretical phases at vocational school and learn practical skills at our company and at our training partner, the training centre of the East Württemberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Aalen. At TEGEL-TECHNIK, you will be an integral part of the team right from the start, will be involved in day-to-day business and will take on tasks independently. You will always have a contact person at your side, because communication, team spirit and collegial interaction are very important to us.

What you should bring with you

Prerequisites for training

  • High school diploma with an average grade of 3 or better, secondary school diploma or preferably a higher education qualification.

  • A minimum grade of 3 in maths and physics.

  • Technical understanding and manual skills.

  • Interested in technology, especially electrical engineering.

  • Quick comprehension skills.

  • Willingness to learn and work hard.

  • Enjoy working in a team.

  • English skills are an advantage.

They work in control cabinet construction, carry out maintenance work, troubleshooting and measurements in accordance with DGUV V3. Our electronics technicians are deployed both at the company site in Giengen and at our customers worldwide.
